Authentic Mexican Flavor on Greenwood Lake

Bold salsas, double-wrapped tacos, and housemade guacamole just minutes from the slopes and the shore.

About Us

Greenwood Lake is not exactly overrun with great Mexican food, which is exactly why Mexicanzingo Restaurant has become the go-to spot for locals and day-trippers alike. Sitting right on Windermere Avenue, this place earns its 4.6-star reputation one plate at a time, drawing regulars who drive past a dozen other options just to get here.

The guacamole is a genuine standout. Made fresh, balanced, and generous, it arrives with a salsa that customers consistently call well-seasoned and satisfying. The tacos come double-wrapped, the way they should, with enough filling that you actually need both tortillas. This is the kind of food that rewards a cold afternoon of snow tubing or a summer day on the lake.

Mexicanzingo has carved out a real identity in the Warwick area, not by chasing trends, but by doing the fundamentals right. The kitchen is consistent, the portions are honest, and the atmosphere is relaxed enough that you actually want to linger.

What We Offer

The menu at Mexicanzingo covers the full range of Mexican classics, executed with care rather than shortcuts. Start with the chips and salsa, which come out tasting like someone actually thought about the balance of heat, acid, and salt. Follow that with the fresh guacamole, and you are already ahead of most places within a 30-mile radius.

Tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and combination plates make up the core of what the kitchen does well. The double-wrapped tacos are a crowd favorite, and regulars have strong opinions about which fillings to order. Portions are sized for real hunger, the kind you work up after a day outdoors.

Mexicanzingo is set up for dine-in, making it a natural stop after snow tubing at Mount Peter or a day on the lake. Check mexicanzingo.net for the current menu and hours before you head over.

"Fantastic Find: Mexicanzingo Restaurant Exceeds Expectations! My wife and I were in the area and decided to try Mexicanzingo Restaurant after seeing its consistently high reviews, and it certainly did not disappoint! As folks from Las Vegas, we appreciate good food, and this place truly delivered. From the moment we walked in, we could tell everything was made fresh, which really made a difference. The food, as pictured, was absolutely awesome! My wife thoroughly enjoyed her chicken enchiladas, and my carne asada dish was cooked to perfection. Beyond the delicious food, the entire restaurant was spotlessly clean, right down to the restrooms. The service was also wonderful, attentive without being overbearing. We highly recommend Mexicanzingo Restaurant. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back!👍👍😃"

"An overall good experience. Their dishes aren’t very memorable but it was a nice stop when starving after snow tubing. There aren’t many other options around the area. The wait for the food was on the longer side, I wasn’t a huge fan of their rice but the beans were good. The taco was nice as well."

"My new go to place for authentic Mexican in the Warwick area. Guacamole is excellent. The salsa that comes with the chips is tasty and well balanced. Good tacos, double wrapped, I recommend the carnitas and carne asada, ask for the special home made spicy salsa. Surprised they did not have chorizo tacos, well they are not on the menu anyway. I did not ask. We where in the mood for Michelada's but alas, no alcohol is served here. Friendly staff. The place is small and there is literally one parking space."

"The restaurant is small and packed full of fun, colorful paintings on the tables and chairs. The food hit it out of the park with everything we tried, especially the beef tacos and chimichangas. The service was very friendly though a little slow, but it was a super busy Saturday night so it was understandable. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a hearty, flavor-packed meal."
